libexcel-writer-xlsx-perl software package provides module to create Excel spreadsheets in xlsx format, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libexcel-writer-xlsx-perl
libexcel-writer-xlsx-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libexcel-writer-xlsx-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libexcel-writer-xlsx-perl *
You will get with libexcel-writer-xlsx-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
